about a year ago a few of us started a textile group that meets monthly in our geographical region.
We became a group attached to the Queensland Branch of ATASDA
( Australia Textile Art & Surface Design Association ) Officially know as ATASDA Scenic Rim Group ” Women of the Cloth ”
Excitedly we have embarked on our first exhibition early next year ……
A merry day was had at ATASDA’s Christmas Fair, held at the BVAC house at Tarragindi on Saturday. A big thanks to all those whom supported us all with your purchases.
We made our way to the ATASDA hub ( Brisbane) on Saturday for the Christmas market aptly named “Merry Threads” a fun day out. Great to catch up with the ladies, I don’t get to these meetings often enough so it was good to touch base.
I had a lovely day at the new meeting space (Tarragindi in Brisbane ) for ATASDA the textile group I am part of. Tricia Smout our tutor showed us numerous ways of folding and binding paper. I have already been having a little play this morning with some paper I had dyed some time ago.
