A dear friend gifted this probably almost vintage Trent Nathan wool jacket, and boy what a challenge ! I had this gem in my wardrobe for some time and alas I will need it as I am off to Melbourne and then out to Traralgon for a 3 day workshop with Cas Holmes ( I’m very excited ) The bundle was hard work but worth the arm / hand strain
having fun with socks.. sandwiched with eucalyptus and a little bit of clary sage on silk.
the little frames are mixed media silk and wool with some doodle stitching…..
the joy of un bundling never diminishes …. i now have a lovely soft set of cuffs ….. and a piece of tube silky merino sadly not big enough for India Flint’s great idea here
a while back we came across a malleys laundry boiler ( Bertha )and while it worked it was a gem, but alas the element died and a replacement was more $ than I expected. Peter came across an old gas fired copper at a garage / yard sale and bought it for me. What a find it is bubbling away as I type, filled with the makings of a wool blanket coat and a piece of silky merino.
Some of my favorite pieces …… come from the string marks on the edges of the bundle, pieced together with paper and silk thread 
This material is one of my first loves and when i started using eucalyptus in my practice the two made the best ever combination.
Recycle …..Renew ….. Sustainable
The wool used here will be made into cushions and table runners, but in the past clothing as well.
I am eternally grateful to India Flint for teaching me this wonderful art that I can wear on my body.
I was so happy to be able to purchase these photos from a live and studio scene. It really brings the clothing to life, the photographer is Nicholas Goodridge from nickreative.
We had a day out shopping a while ago and I picked up this little number a merino tunic, now pink is not my colour but I am willing to make some an adjustment…….
